An energy advisor will look for ways your home can save energy and may install free energy-saving products.

After the assessment, you’ll receive a personalized report with more ways to save energy and make your home more comfortable.

Why get a home energy assessment?

Small problems, such as drafty windows or inefficient faucets, can waste energy and increase your monthly bills. A free home energy assessment can identify these issues and recommend practical ways to improve your home’s efficiency and comfort.

The free products you’ll receive

During your assessment, your energy advisor may install some or all of these products at no cost to you.

Your energy advisor may recommend additional upgrades, such as weatherization. Energy Smart rebates and instant discounts can help lower the cost of eligible upgrades. Income-qualified properties may be eligible for upgrades at no cost.

Air sealing helps close gaps around doors and windows, keeping indoor air in and outdoor air out.

Duct sealing

Duct sealing helps keep heated and cooled air from escaping. 

Attic insulation

Poor attic insulation can make your home harder to heat and cool. Adding insulation can reduce energy loss and help heating and cooling systems work more efficiently.

A/C tune-up

Regular A/C tune-ups can improve system performance, support efficient operation and help keep your home comfortable.

Who qualifies?

Entergy New Orleans residential customers who meet the requirements below can receive a free home energy assessment and free energy-saving products.

Requirements:

  • You are an Entergy New Orleans residential customer and own or rent your home.
  • You have not participated in the program within the last five years.
  • Renters must provide a signed Landlord Permission Form before completing any recommended upgrades.
  • Your property is an existing single-family home or building with one to four units.
